Hello.
I have a problem.
Whenever I try to start the game. after the intro. The game closes by itself
Why is this happening?

I've disabled the firewall
disabled my virus program.
no programs running in the background.
playing time is on it.
I log in as well.
repair one game I've already done.

I do not know what else I do not want.

please help

I got this error after a Blue Screen of Death upon launching Tera. It was quite random considering I didn't install anything since the day before when I could launch Tera just fine. Using Windows 7 BTW.

In a mad attempt to resolve this, I have done the following:
1. Ran launcher in administrator mode.
2. Closed all visible programs (i.e. ventrilo, anti-virus).
3. Ended all processes that are unnecessary for basic Windows functionality.
4. Uninstalled any cheat programs (i.e. ArtMoney, Cheat Engine). I didn't have any.
5. Used CCleaner to stop majority of startup programs, clean Windows, and clean registries.
6. Deleted GameGuard folder and downloaded through launcher.
7. Restarted the computer.

None of these worked. (P.S. - Not using english patch... cause it doesn't work anymore. )


But, I took a look at JoJJi's post and I was like... .

And so... I did the following:
1. Navigated to C:\HanPurple\TERA_HG\S1Game\S1Data.
2. Deleted "CommonResources.dat", "DataCenter_Final.dat", and "DownloadedResources.dat".
3. Used launcher to download those files again.
4. Logged in.
5. Launched game.
6. ???
7. Profit.

Hey guys I encountered an in game problem. At the moment I cannot accept any new quests and I cant abandon any current ones either. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Okay Zodd, it sounds like you might be referring to the first tab of your questlog which is the campaign/story quests. You can't delete those and you generally get new ones automatically when you are the appropriate level. Regular quests are in the 2nd tab they are quests with a yellow icon. It might be possible though highly unlikely that you have completed all the quests in your area but didn't gain enough exp to get new quests. What you need to do is then grab a few of the repeatable quests so that you can get that last bit of exp to level out of the area.

@Evolie, I'm sorry if this isn't much help but I've never heard of anybody having that issue before with Tera. Most likely it's not the game itself causing it but some sort of hardware issue. My only recommendation is that you try to test your PC on similiar games with heavy RAM and graphic requirements and see if the same thing happens. You can also try googling the issue you're having and putting the name of your graphics card in the search to see if it comes up with anything.

So when you get this:



you're screwed, right? Because #1, the last field wants the account holder's name, and generally you don't have that information, and #2, if you've entered the wrong password enough times to get that message, your account probably got hacked. Correct?

Got an e-mail last night from the site I bought the account from saying that they had accidentally added 30 days to my account and could I please pay for it, and today my password has apparently been changed. It's not a huge deal, since I just wanted to play around a bit out of boredom rather than play K-Tera hardcore until the NA version is released. Still kind of a bummer, though.

Just want to be sure there's no way of getting the account unlocked before I uninstall and scour my computer clean.

Edit: How do I uninstall the game? It doesn't show up when I go to uninstall programs, and nothing in any of the folders seems to be an uninstaller.

that massage pops up if you failed to log in your account over 5 times. apparently someone was trying to log in your account and failed. you need your account holder's name and social numbers to activate your account again.
well, several months ago i got same massage too, but it was not hacked. good luck to you. anyway, if it's hacked, i heard GM gives you back your items if you report about that and they are sure about your account is hacked.
to uninstall tera, just delete the folder named Hanpurple.

I am getting this whenever I try to get past the purple POS box that pops up. There is nothing to click and I am unable to launch the game. Any help is appreciated.

I got a message from someone in game (blue entry in chat) and I click the first part which is a link and it brings up info that shows a persons name, level and a medal. At first I thought it was a party leader icon but I wasn't in a party.
